Frame it, with paint - the paint can

That's one little project down, with a dozen more to go.  I have been staring at a red frame I painted at least two months ago, trying to decide what to do with it.  I finally got around to putting something up, just today. Create, yes that describes it all in a nutshell.  I love it!

I have seen this style of frame everywhere lately.  I would like to own one of the large wooden ones, but have you seen how much they cost, gasp!  So with that a little creative ingenuity was born....

Why not just paint it!  I found a frame I liked from the "frame shop" and figured I could paint it on the wall just as easily.  I began by sketching a design on a sheet of printer paper to make sure I could do a mini version before going large.  I folded the printer paper in half both vertically and horizontally and drew just one section of the design I had in mind.

From there I got out the larger roll of paper and reproduced the same design. Once I had it cut out I measured the wall to find my center point, and taped my template up in sections.

After tracing around the template I marked out a square of the area I wanted to leave blank.  So picking up today where I left off two months ago, I started working on my vinyl letters.

And the final result turned out perfect!  Now I just need to get the rest of that room finished up.

If you're wondering where I came up with that color combination you can see my design inspiration here, at Wooster and Prince "Double Happiness"
