"Shades of Love" Paint Chip Art-DIY

"Shades of Love" DIY Paint Chip Art

Simple projects are the best, wouldn't you agree?  As much as I would love to spend my day crafting away there are things that must come first.  The pile of laundry that always awaits me, the furniture to dust, floors to clean, meals to plan and cook, a Bible study lesson to complete, as well as the kid taxi, (that's a big one).  Makes me tired just thinking about all that!  Somewhere in between all that I still find time to play, as I like to call it.

If you need something that will be quick and easy like I do then you are gonna love this!  Shades of Love is the perfect project.  Best of all you probably already have everything you need except the paint chips.  (Substitute paint chips with scrapbook paper.)

I picked up two Glidden paint chip samples in the following colors from the home improvement store: Pink Ballet Slipper, Pink Flamingo, Watermelon Smoothie, Cherries Jubilee, and Red Delicious.  Isn't that a fun combination of names?  Next, I printed the text on a sheet of printer paper.

The samples were large enough I was able to cut four hearts from each one using my Cricut machine.

Using a cutting mat, I placed the hearts on the printer paper in a straight line.  It was barely visible through the paper but I managed.

After that it was just a matter of placing it inside the frame.

Just like everybody else, I am crazy for ombre art!!  Loving my "shades of love" for the mantle.
