My imagination finds me slipping on a pair of flip flops, making a large pitcher of lemon aid, and stretching out on a comfy lounge chair in the backyard. The thought of soaking up some sun rays and breathing in the smell of freshly cut grass seems delightful right about now!!! If only my escape into the backyard wasn't postponed until after the snow melts.
My happy place doesn't have to wait though! I'm getting a jump start on Spring now with my Washi Tape Vases filled with Tulips! Nothing works better than blooms to brighten the gray days of Winter.
If you read my previous post, I told you I like to hold on to things most people probably just toss into the recycling bucket. Well, the truth is I am a recycling hoarder.....
You see, I have made the mistake in the past of tossing stuff that I could have used for crafty projects, only to wish I'd held onto it. I started collecting these jars several years ago with a plan in mind. Our previous house had a beautiful pergola with Wisteria covering it. Here's a peek of the Wisteria, (made a great location for our Easter pictures that year):
I had this great plan of attaching wire to the jars, putting tea light candles in them and hanging them from the pergola. In my mind I was creating the perfect garden party. The only problem with this picture was I didn't own a single piece of patio furniture. Of course we've moved since then. I have patio furniture now, but no pergola or Wisteria. That's okay though, I found another use for them.
It's time to give these sad plants their proper place, and it's not the window seal!
You know I'm all about simple projects, and these Washi Tape Vases are by far the easiest yet! I could have added some embellishments, but I like them just the way they are. Simple.
I cleaned off the labels with Goo Gone.
Then completed these three simple steps.
Ta-da! Finished.
